Dorman Long Fabrication

Dorman Long Group
The Fabrication Division is the core manufacturing unit in the Dorman Long Group servicing both third party clients directly and through the EPC Division. This operates from the three sites, Idi-Oro, Naval Dockyard and Agege, all in Lagos

Where a product is manufactured will in part depend on the size of the finished fabrication. Very large fabrications for the oil and gas industry will be assembled and completed at the Naval Dockyard site to enable the product to loaded directly onto sea going barges at the sites integral deep sea quay. Smaller fabrications that can be shipped by road will be completed at the Idi-Oro site.

 

 

Processes
The division uses international standard equipment to undertake all manner of high precision steel fabrication including:

 

  • Various types of welding including exotic metals.
  • Rolling steel up to 120mm thick for cylindrical vessels
  • Post welding heat treatment
  • Drilling, punching etc.
  • Grit blasting and airless spray painting
  • All non destructive testing.


 

QA/QC
Dorman Long has full ISO 9001-2000 certification, ASME certification for stamps and works to international codes of practice.
