Engr. Akeem Adetunji is an Executive Director in Dorman Long Engineering Limited, he is versatile in technical decision making, integrated management system, process development, policy formulation, enterprise risks management and strategic thinking for the realization of organizational goals, shareholders’ values, continual improvement and organizational excellence.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Ilorin (1995), Master’s degree in Managerial Psychology from University of Ibadan and is an alumnus of University of Lagos, Nigeria, where he obtained his M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering. His professional certifications include ISO 9001 QMS Lead Auditor, ISO 45001 OH&S MS, ISO 14001 EMS, he has been a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) since 2003, a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE). He has served in various positions as an exco member of both NSE and NIMechE Ibadan Branch and has won several performance awards. He also won Dorman Long MD’s Recognition Award for Dedication and Excellent Performance in June, 2022.
Akeem has over 25 years work experience in both Manufacturing and Oil & Gas industries. He started his professional career in the Leventis Group, Frigoglass Industries (Nig) Ltd, Cool Division, Ibadan, where he held several technical and management positions and had an outstanding career that spanned about 11 years in the conglomerate. He left as the Quality Assurance Manager and moved to Oil & Gas sector of the economy where he joined Dorman Long Engineering Ltd in May 2008. He has been the Manager QMS & Nigerian Content Development, ensuring continuing certification of the company to ISO 9001 QMS Standard, IMS, as well as Regulatory Certifications etc.
Akeem is a goal getter. He is a result-oriented team player and possesses transformational leadership qualities. He has attended various technical, management and leadership training courses, in order to synergize between technical competencies and human capabilities to enhance performance.
