ASSET MANAGEMENT

Employing seasoned oil and gas Industry professionals, expatriate and Nigerian, the Asset Management unit provides maintenance and operational services to oil and gas production facilities ensuring uninterrupted production day and night. We have the capacity to manage facilities from pre-commissioning activities related to Nigerian Content (NC) packages, up to end of construction and load-out/integration works. We are a one – stop shop for asset support service solutions to petroleum production facilities. All Dorman Long’s core competencies including engineering, fabrication, design, procurement and galvanizing are harnessed to ensure reliability and availability.

RANGE OF SERVICES IN ASSET MANAGEMENT

Asset Integrity Services: The FPSO suffers a more onerous fatigue spectrum. For this reason, a fatigue enhancement test is performed to ensure integrity of the FPSO. Dorman Long provides the requisite manpower including expatriates, equipment and tool supply and capability for local procurement.

Vessel, Tank Cleaning and Repairs: FPSO are subject to defects and structural failure. In order for operators of the FPSO to resolve these, they deploy a Corrective Maintenance Work Order. Dorman Long has the capacity to perform inspection, repair and maintenance on FPSO equipment including water ballast tank frames, caisson damage due to wrong material selection, break – down of coating systems, deck structures, pallets and walkways.

Rope Access: All electrical works, helideck structural works, insulation, rig maintenance, blasting, confined space entry and top side structures require active service of a qualified rope access personnel certified by the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA). Dorman Long adheres to the international code of practice from IRATA for all rope access activities and we operate our projects under certified procedures.

 

Crane and Scaffolding:

Crane

All cranes represent a significant safety risk. They are complex and involve significant mechanical, structural and control safety aspects. The maintenance criteria includes compliance with the requirement of Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations SI 1998/ 2307 (LOLER) and various classification prerequisites. All operators perform rocking tests and grease analysis of slew rings as a matter of routine. All operations involving cranes and rigging are guided in accordance to ASME B30 safety standard for cableways, cranes, hoists, jacks and slings.

Scaffolding

The purpose of scaffold erection is to provide access for rigs, jack-up legs, pipework construction or for fabrication of super structures /dynamic heavy lift. More specifically, scaffolds such as hanging scaffolds, load bearing birdcage, tower façade are erected for special services were cranes are not viable or the boom length may be insufficient for a particular job task. Dorman Long provides Advanced Construction Industry Scaffolders Record (CISR) scaffolding crew. These are Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organization (OPITO) approved rigging personnel with certified rope lighting sling standard to DNV 2.7-1 or BS EN131414-1:2003

 

Warehousing

Leak Intervention Services: Maintenance of seals and pressure/ vacuum (P/V) Valves, pipe – works and tank venting system, hot bolting, and removable insulation jackets are part of the routine maintenance performed by Dorman Long. We also provide these services on a call-out basis to revamp leaks detected on spool lines.
