FABRICATION & EPC
Dorman Long operates out of three (3) yards in Lagos. Our historical head office at Idi-Oro, our galvanizing plant at Agege and our waterfront facility at the Nigerian Naval Dockyard (NND), Victoria Island. All these are fully equipped fabrication yards with the capacity to deliver world class fabrication service.
The choice of which yard is deemed appropriate for a specific project is determined by the nature and size the project. Heavy assembly works which cannot be transported by road are situated at Nigerian Naval Dockyard (NND) where they can be loaded out through the jetty. Other activities are executed at our Idi – Oro and Agege sites with galvanizing works solely executed at the Agege Galvanizing Plant.
The capacities of the three sites are;
IDI-ORO:

- Covered area of 7,500sqm with open area of 15,000sqm
- Head office complex, heavy assembly workshop (HAW) and light assembly workshop (LAW) It boasts of the following facilities;
Engineering section

- Valve repair and servicing facility
- Plate Rollers up to 120mm thickness
- HAW with a capacity of 18 pressure vessels on simultaneous operation
- Furnace for post weld heat treatment
- Blasting and painting facilities
AGEGE:

- Covered area of 8,500sqm with open area of 15,000sqm
- Galvanizing plant equipped with;
- CNC cutting machines
- Tower fabrication plant
- Structural/piping fabrication bays
- Blasting and painting facilities
NIGERIAN NAVAL DOCKYARD (NND):

- Covered area of 2,500sqm with open area 10,000+sqm
- A heavy assembly bay
- Laydown area by the jetty

- Dorman Long is an ISO certified company. We obtained ISO 9001:2000 QMS certification of SON and SGS/UKAS in 2006 which was later revalidated to ISO9001:2008 in 2010. Dorman Long has ASME authorization to use the following “U” stamp for pressure vessels
- “U2” stamp for pressure vessels
- “S” stamps for power boilers
- “pp” stamp for pressure piping
- “R” stamp for repairs and alterations to pressure retaining items
Dorman Long has the (Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) Mandatory Conformity Assessment Program (MANCAP) certificates for all products and we have all relevant permits and licenses as prescribed by regulatory and statutory bodies.

Dorman Long Engineering Limited has successfully executed major EPC works including onshore flow stations, major structural fabrication and erection amongst others. Presently, Dorman Long is working with key international engineering companies to provide Turnkey One – Stop Shop services to our major Nigerian IOC clients.
